Useful Dialogue for Room Service

I.   Context
     The Room Service Department takes food and beverage orders from hotel guests to be delivered to the guests’ rooms.  Room Service has to be very familiar with the menu in order to successfully handle a room service order.  In this dialogue, “RS” is the room service clerk “G” is the guest.


II.  Dialogue
RSRoom Service, good morning.
GI’d like to order breakfast.
RSNo problem, what would you like to have?

GI’d like to have a glass of orange juice, a fried egg and two slices of toast. 
RSWould you like coffee or tea?
GNo thanks.  Do you have strawberry jam and butter?
RSYes we do, anything else for you?
GThat’s all.
RSLet me repeat your order, a glass of orange juice, a fried egg, two slices of toasts with strawberry jam and butter.  Is it correct?
GYes, how long will it take?
RSAbout 20 minutes.  Would you please tell me your room number and name?
GMy name is Rita in Room 2005.
RSThank you for calling us.

How to Make a Cosmopolitan

Make a Cosmopolitan
A cosmopolitan is a fruity, refreshing drink. You might remember this cocktail made popular by Carrie Bradshaw from "Sex and the City."

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • sugar
  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. cranberry juice
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • dash of Cointreau
  • lemon twist
  • Dash Of Cointreaux
  • Groceries
  • Ice
  1. Wet the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with cranberry juice and dip it in granulated sugar.
  2. Put ice in a cocktail shaker.
  3. Add the vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice and Cointreau to the ice.
  4. Shake twice.
  5. Strain into the cocktail glass.
  6.   Garnish with a lemon twist.

How to make a Mojito Cocktail

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 tsp of sugar
  • 6-8 mint leaves
  • club soda
  • 1 lime, halved
  • 2oz. light rum
  • mint sprig
  • ice
  • highball glass
  • straw
  1. Place the mint leaves, sugar, and a little club soda in a highball glass.
  2. Muddle well to disolve the sugar and release the mint flavor.
  3. Squeeze the juice from both halves of the lime into the glass. Leave one half of the lime in the glass.
  4. Add the rum, and stir well.
  5. Fill the glass with ice cubes, and top off with club soda.
  6. Garnish with mint sprig, and serve with a straw.
